National Association of Letter Carriers
Welcome to the Website of the National Association of Letter carriers, Branch 283. This is the local union
where letter carriers experience the worst supervision and the best representation in the entire Postal Service.
Our current membership consists of 4,804 members. We have 4,078 active letter carrier members, 716 retired
members and 10 lifetime members. We are the eighth largest local union in the NALC.
Our union hall is located in Houston, Texas, We represent letter carriers that work for the United States
Postal Service in Houston and these other Texas offices of the USPS:
